Carlos Lozano Pereda (1942)

Born in Mexico City on April 21, 1942. He studied architecture at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) but found his real passion to be in art. He is particularly recognized for his full range of chromatic exposure in his work. He characterizes his work as "Brutalesque" for his strength in composition, form and color. In recent years his paintings have become quite popular due to incessant exhibitions in Mexico and the US. He currently lives and works in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.
